10 WAYS TO SPRING CLEAN YOUR INSTA FEED
Nobody likes Spring cleaning. It’s at the bottom of the list, alongside wearing your retainer and writing your final exams. Nothing is fun about vacuuming under your bed and throwing away the hoard of papers in your everything-drawer.
What is fun, is Spring cleaning your Instagram feed. And reaching those Insta-babe standards is easier than you think.
Here’s how you can have the perfect profile:
Start the process with some brutal honesty. If they aren’t following you back, or you never look at their account, it’s time to say bye.
2 – CURATE WITH COLOR THEMES
The coolest and (not surprisingly) prettiest Insta accounts are the ones that use color themes. This doesn’t mean if you post pastel pink, you have to do it forever, tho. You can create “blocks” of color that change when you want.
3 – CREATE YOUR OWN TRADEMARK FILTERS
Consistency is beyond important here. If you want to be memorable, you have to have your own “brand.” Creating and saving a trademark filter you can apply to every photo is a mucho good idea.
4 – USE CONTENT MANAGEMENT APPS
You can use apps that will help you schedule and curate your feed, like UNUM. It means you don’t aaalways have to be hovering on your phone, but you know your feed will be maintained.
5 – CHOOSE YOUR PICS WISELY
If your pic is blurry, or it doesn’t go with your theme, don’t use it. It’s that simple.
6 – DELETE PICS THAT DON’T WORK
If you’re over it, don’t be afraid to delete old stuff that doesn’t look cute anymore. If the colors no longer flow, if the pic is too dark, or if it’s blurry, delete it. For a curated feed, you might have to start fresh.
7 – STOP NEGLECTING YOUR CAPTIONS
A cute pic might get some likers, but a cute caption will get people coming back to your feed more often. Nothing says, “i rly dnt care” like a lazily written caption.
Your bio is a great place to let people know what you’re currently up to. It’s also a huge giveaway about who maintains their feed regularly and who doesn’t.
Using a hashtag isn’t just for fun. It’s how Instagram categorizes and organizes topics. Duh. Good hashtags can help you get visibility on a pic for sure, but they can also ruin your caption if there are too many. So find that balance.
Most importantly, your pics on Insta should rep who you are! Make sure your feed is genuine and unique by adding (or taking away) stuff that shows people who you are and what makes you stand out.
