DIY: EARTH DAY TERRARIUM

Earth Day is a good time to remind yourself of the beauty this planet has to offer. Mother nature is the ultimate boss babe, and it’s important to take a minute to think about how we can all be a little more eco.

Making your own succulent terrarium is the perfect way to keep nature at the top of your mind. Putting it together is the easiest thing ever, and these plants need almost no attention.

Succulents are a type of desert plant that can survive super dry conditions. Think, like, aloe and cacti.

YOU NEED
Glass Container (w/ a wide opening so moisture doesn’t accumulate)
Cactus soil
Rocks
Sand
3-4 Succulent plants

STEP 1

Pour a 2 inch layer of rocks or gravel. This is so the water can drain.

STEP 2

Follow this with a thin layer of sand. Gently even out the sand with your hands.

STEP 3

Now add about 2 inches of cactus soil.

STEP 4

Add a final thin layer of sand, and place your succulent plants on top. Make a little space underneath so the plants can take root in the soil.

STEP 5

Add pretty decorative elements! We used pink glass rocks and a mini pineapple.

DONE!

And now you have the cutest succulent garden ever. Water your plants only when the soil gets completely dry, cause these guys don’t like to get overly soaked.
