Hey! We are two lifestyle bloggers from Montreal, and we’ve been creating content for Ardene for the past 6 months. My name is Alicia, and you can find me here @aliciawaid.
And my name is Leah, find me on the gram here @missleahmei.
We were lucky enough to take part in their Just Water campaign this past April, which was so much fun. We loved collaborating with such a strong, female-based brand that we figured we’d reach out to Ardene to see if they’d be interested in sending us to NYFW to represent them! It was a lot of planning, but together we made it happen & we couldn’t be happier!
We’re dishing on our whole NYFW experience –
We arrived in New York, and we were so ready for Fashion week! NYC is such a special city, and during September fashion week, it’s even more spectacular. We touched down around 8:30 am and headed to the cutest boutique hotel in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, called Henry Norman.
Adorned with exposed brick, vintage furniture, high ceilings, and a certain je ne sais quoi charm, this hotel definitely exceeded all expectations. There was even a cute taxi as a prop for photos!

We dropped off our bags & had a quick outfit change, and we were on our way to Bakeri cafe for a much-needed coffee break. This café is seriously Insta goals. Not only do they have cute cups and yummy pastries, but the aesthetic is just so pretty. We definitely took advantage of their outdoor seating to capture some cute Parisian-vibe content.
For lunch, we headed to By Chloe, the famous vegan restaurant. Alicia tried the mac & cheese, and I had the red velvet cupcake. If you want some delicious (and Instagram-worthy food) definitely check it out. I think I’ve tried almost everything on their menu and I’m never disappointed! We also had a quick outfit change here before walking over to Washington square park. You gotta love the hustle.
Although we’re both no stranger to New York, this was actually our first time visiting the iconic park. We got the classic photo under the arc (similar vibes to the Arc de Triomphe, if you’ve never been) and enjoyed the views from the fountain in the center of the park.
For dinner, we checked out Blacktap restaurant in Soho, which is known for its crazy milkshakes! Alicia got the birthday cake one which literally came with a giant piece of cake on the top. We ordered actual lunch too haha. This spot definitely satisfied our cravings.

Just a short walk away was the Rocky Barnes X MKLM event. Rocky is an American model and blogger who recently came out with her own purse line. The venue was set in this really cool tropical outdoor terrace filled with plants. It was the launch event for her new collection which was seriously SO pretty! She was there hosting the event and looked incredible as always.
On Day 2, we took over Ardene’s IG Stories! We polled Ardene’s followers, and they got to vote on what we did.
Should we head to Manhattan to start the day, or stay in Brooklyn?
They wanted us to explore Brooklyn, so that’s just what we did! We changed into our Ardene outfits and headed for breakfast at Woops Bakeshop in Greenpoint.
“This is one of my fave bakeries in NYC, because their pastries are so fresh and they have so many delicious goodies! The décor is adorable, too. I mean look at this place. It screams Insta goals.” – Alicia
Alicia ordered the peanut butter cookie and a croissant, and I opted for the vanilla muffin and a red velvet marshmallow pastry. It was all SO good.

Next, we head to Manhattan for some pop-up events. The first was one was a jewelry brand, based in Vancouver, called Wolfe Circus. We ended up meeting one of Alicia’s fave bloggers, Orion Carloto. She has a very vintage and Parisian aesthetic and is known for her poetry book Flux.
After that, we headed to one of our favorite brunch spots: Two Hands. We both ordered the açai bowl, which we highly suggest, and ended up eating right behind Eva Gutowski, from @mylifeaseva! She looked flawless.
Next up – the Coach pop up! They included the new exclusive runway collection. Their new pieces were so beautiful and timeless… They reminded us of the equestrian aesthetic. All very chic.
Afterward, we stopped by Central Park. More specifically the Bethesda Fountain which is famous for being in many TV shows and movies. This is a must destination to shoot… the entire terrace and fountain are beautiful.
The architecture is amazing! You’ll get that picture-perfect setting that you’re looking for any Fall #OOTD.

To end our day, we met up with one of Alicia’s childhood friends who goes to school in NYC. She introduced us to this new Indian restaurant called Divya’s Kitchen. The resto believes that food can heal, and that’s why they serve food that our bodies and minds say yes to! In other words, the food is super healthy & good for you. Their dishes are rooted in the tradition of Shala Vansiya Ayurveda which is the ancient medical science of India. This resto has become one of the spots we recommend to everyone – try it out next time you’re in NYC!
Then, we headed back to Brooklyn and got ready for bed. We had another BIG day ahead of us!
After shooting content at the hotel, we made our way to Maman in Williamsburg for brunch. Not only is this café so cute with vintage and rustic vibes, but the food is seriously delicious! We did a poll on Insta and you guys voted – it was a close 50/50 split between sweet and savory dishes… so we got both. Alicia had the breakfast sandwich and the s’mores cookie (a legendary cookie). I opted for the avocado toast, the obvious Insta-approved choice, as well as some blueberry cake on the side.
After that, we were ready to start the day! We headed to Soho, which is known for its beautiful architecture. It has some of the most perfect spots to get that bomb #ootd picture. One of our favorite spots was in front of the Louis Vuitton store in Soho on Greene Street.
Later, we visited the Mejuri showroom. It was beautifully set up and showcased their most popular pieces. After that, we hit up the launch event for the designer Saint Mojavi.
After some shopping around Soho, we made a pit stop at Ladurée. The French café is known for their macaroons. This place is worth a visit if you’re shooting content! Tip: Ask to be seated on the outdoor terrace for a truly magical experience.
To end the night, we headed to a fashion show and party at Sky Room near Times Square. The view of the city at night was so beautiful, and it was the perfect way to end our NYFW trip!
