This past September marked the iconic TV show Friends’ 25th anniversary. The show was 9 seasons long, and each season ran 24 episodes. The show had a cult following, and with the 90’s resurgence going strong, even younger people who didn’t live through the real Friends era are watching and loving the show.
The denim, the plaid, the tiny sunglasses, the oversized sweatshirts! Friends’ styling was the best (and sometimes the worst) of the 90’s.
Phoebe wore crystals and flowy maxi skirts, Monica wore leather pants and men’s button-down shirts, and Rachel loved miniskirts.
One of the most fascinating parts about fashion is how it is so completely cyclical. The outfits from Friends would totally blend in in say, today’s Urban Outfitters window display.
Here’s my roundup of some of the characters’ most iconic looks. Keep scrolling to see what Ardene has in store that looks the same!
