Osheaga Recap

Montreal in the summer is such a vibe. There are over 35 festivals in the summer, and so many of them are free. People visit Mtl from far corners of the world to get in on all the fun our city has to offer.

From MURAL, the Jazz Fest, and Just For Laughs to Heavy Montreal, ÎleSoniq and Osheaga, people are out all day and night, and the energy is contagious! Osheaga is basically Canada’s Coachella. There are tons of people, BIG headliners, and a huge focus on fashion.

Here’s a recap of our Osheaga 2019 experience!

DAY 1

Oh baby, it was a scorcher! No complaints though. We applied tons of sunscreen, picked out cute Ardene outfits, and hopped on the metro to Parc-Jean Drapeau. We let you guys pick our looks through Insta stories, and you chose wisely.

The famous sculpture called Trois Disques at Parc Jean Drapeau was back after a year of being under construction. The Ferris wheel, the stages, and all the activations were very cool, but the sculpture is an iconic Montreal monument that always makes me just stare in wonder. It’s so epic!

Check out all the fun little booths and photo ops we saw.

We saw Rosalía, Gucci Mane, and Flume. Rosalía’s performance had us shooketh! First off, she’s just crazy talented. Her voice is incredible and she’s a bomb dancer. She had amazing backup vocalists and a squad of dancers. The dancers were all stunning Latina women wearing a uniform black unitard, gold earrings, and sneakers. They were some of the prettiest women I’ve ever seen and the choreography was unreal! The whole crowd was dancing.

We headed home at 11ish that night, we were tired and so happy.
