Starbucks’ grande pumpkin spice latte has 50 grams of sugar. That’s in your DRINK. You didn’t even get to eat some actual pie. Not cool.
We’re bringing you a cheaper and healthier version of the beloved PSL. You can enjoy this delish drink and not crash from a sugar high. Stay guilt-free, our version is made with real ingredients
Recipe makes 1 Venti coffee. If you’re like me, you’ll split this recipe with a friend and each have 2 smaller cups of coffee!
2 cups of milk. Any kind of milk will work. We chose oat milk because we love it and it froths really well!
3 tbsp of pure pumpkin puree
2-3 tbsp of sugar (depending on how sweet you want it)
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice blend (and more for garnish)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup of brewed coffee or hot espresso
nutmeg (for garnish)
cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
whip cream (optional)
a mason jar
grater (for nutmeg and cinnamon sticks)
milk frother (if you don’t have this, you can use a saucepan and a whisk)
coffee machine (whatever you’ve got going on will work)
Combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract in a mason jar, and mix it all up.
Bust out your frother, and froth the milk, then add it to your mixture. If you don’t have one, pour milk into a saucepan and heat it up while whisking it.
Pour espresso or coffee into the mug.
Pour your frothy pumpkin goodness mixture onto your coffee, and mix well.
Garnish it up! Grate cinnamon and nutmeg on top, and even add whip cream if you’re into it.
