Although it’s a super trending topic, it’s often poorly explained and seen by many as when you splurge on yourself, like a mani or a skincare product you’ve been wanting forever, but that’s a misconception. Let’s debunk all that right now ~
What is self-care?
Self-care is about caring for your overall health so that you can feel your best every day. Practicing it is different for everyone, but the goal is always the same: feel less stress, feel happier, and make sure your physical and mental wellbeing is in check!
An important part of self-care is knowing when your energy is running low and stepping back to replenish yourself.
Why is it important?
There are actually five areas of your life that are helped by self-care – emotional, spiritual, physical, social, and sensory. We’ll dive a bit deeper into those in the next few weeks.
Treating others well by being respectful and caring means that you respect and care for yourself first. So all of your relationships will be affected by how much you care for yourself.
Right now is a great time to start practicing self-care, so that you can be the best version of yourself to give to everyone else in time for the holidays and the new year.
A night in watching your favorite movie, eating healthy snacks, chillin’ & relaxing is a great way to practice self-care.
