The best way to prepare for a workout or a long day is to have a healthy snack prepared. It’ll have your back when you’re low on energy & need a boost, or if you’re simply having an afternoon snack-attack.
These bliss bites are perfect for fueling any workout, be it low or high intensity. See chef Zoe in action!
Ingredients
10 Medjool dates (pitted)
1/4 cup almond butter
1/3 cup cocoa powder
½ cup walnuts
1 pinch sea salt or Himalayan sea salt
Optional
1/3 cup coconut oil (melted)
2 tbsp. coconut flakes
2 tbsp. beetroot powder
2 tbsp. hemp seeds
Step 1
Wash your hands. Then get all your ingredients out so we’re ready to go.
Step 2
Pit your dates and mash them with a flat wooden spoon or fork.
Step 3
Chop the walnuts, mix them in with the mashed dates.
Step 4
Add the almond butter, sea salt and optional: the melted coconut oil, to the mix.
Step 5
Now add the cocoa powder, and mix it up again!
Step 6
Form them with your hands; roll them using your palms. They should be bite-sized, so make them approximately an inch by an inch.
Now, roll them in whatever toppings you choose until they’re covered. Delish!
